PSI Platoon Adoption
PSI proudly announces the adoption of its second platoon - Red Tight-one of the last SHORAD (Short Range Air Defense) battalions remaining in the Army. The platoon is headed by PSI "family" member, 1Lt Levi Pippy, son of employee Dennis Pippy. The soldiers of the Red Tight Platoon are currently spread out over three locations in Northern Iraq.
Committees are now forming within PSI to collect and organize a mailing of our first care package to the soldiers by Memorial Day weekend. Plans are underway for a t-shirt fundraiser and to send tools and maintenance items for the ATVs the soldiers use for local transportation. Employees are encouraged to volunteer, donate, and send emails and letters to let platoon members know how much we appreciate their sacrifice and bravery.
"First and foremost, we want to thank the troops of the Red Tight Platoon for their bravery and for putting their lives in danger and on hold to keep us safe and free back home," said PSI Platoon Committee Chairperson, Carol Lin. "You will forever be in our hearts and prayers."
