Business Analyst Senior Level

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate's core responsibilities will include, but not to be limited to:

  • Design and improve processes
  • Define requirements for software tools for developmental staff
  • Test against requirements
  • Integrate systems and manage projects of selected development efforts
  • Review designs
  • Use software tools to gather requirements, analyze needs, identify risk, propose designs, write documentation and conduct financial analysis
  • Provide training support
  • Serve as system administrator of Clarity PPM system
  • Manage the Clarity PPM suite by working with stakeholders to develop the requirements and establish technical documentation
  • Capture, develop and implement changes to the Clarity PPM platform
  • Customize the Clarity tool as necessary
  • Troubleshoot system problems and implement bug fixes as necessary
  • Provide helpdesk support for users of the system
  • Develop reports and dashboards as requested for IT project review meetings
  • Interview customers and different stakeholders to elicit requirements
  • Analyze customer requirements and translates them into system requirements
  • Document fine grain system requirements and tracks requirements to implementation
  • Manage the SharePoint site by working with the community to develop different collaboration sites
  • Capture business process documentations by working closely with different stakeholders
  • Develop rich excel workbook frameworks to manage budgets and other financial related activities
  • Document gaps and opportunities for improving IT PMO operations
  • Establish the requirements for PMO improvements and standardization
  • Capture key metrics associated with the project
  • Develop communication and training materials
  • Establish a common repository to track and monitor incoming IT requests
  • Lead training sessions to include developing training materials, videos in support of all IT standardization and improvement initiatives
  • Support the CIO organization by developing presentation and executive documentations that highlights key metrics, findings, and status progress on key projects and programs
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Work independently with users to define concepts and understand user needs
  • Document gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Monthly Progress Report

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related field with 8+ years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and relevant experience may be considered
  • In-depth experience with Clarity PPM tool
  • Experience in CA PPM Configuration, CA PPM Data Model, CA PPM Portlet, and CA PPM Reporting
  • Experience with developing customized and rich reports using JasperSoft and Microsoft BI
  • Experience developing Marcos and Microsoft VBAs
  • Experience gathering requirements through interviews
  • Experience with business process modeling using BPMN suite
  • Experience with ISO documentations and standards
  • Experience with managing SharePoint site
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders and customers
  • Experience and expertise in Senior Management Consulting in a QA environment
  • Experience with Transportation industry to develop quality metrics and measures around operation management and financial performance
  • Perform high caliber qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of the deliverables listed above
  • Ability to interview and engage with executive level clients to discuss major issues and develop options and alternatives that can be leveraged to address key challenges.
  • Ability to assess and analyze trends and facts about issues by applying fact based analysis
  • Ability to discuss findings and recommendations with key executive leadership
  • Demonstrated skills in software-aided business process capture
  • Demonstrated skills in analyzing processes and identifying opportunities for enhancements
  • Demonstrated experience in a project leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience establishing strong relationships with operational, IT and financial management
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
  • U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required. Candidates selected must be able to successfully pass a client background investigation
