PSI Achieves CMMI® Level 3 Recertification
PSI is pleased to announce the re-certification of all existing ISO certifications, along with an additional certification in ISO 14001:2004 - Environmental Management. In tandem with these certifications, PSI has also been re-appraised as a CMMI Maturity Level 3 organization.

This rating is granted only after a rigorous audit by a third-party Appraisal Team, led by an SEI accredited Lead Appraiser. PSI is fully committed to process improvement from the top down, with a history of continuous process improvement in order to increase customer satisfaction:

PSI Walks for Diabetes
PSI employees, families and friends stepped out recently to help fight diabetes. The walk was held on Sunday, October 10 alongside 550 other walkers in Baker Park in Frederick, MD. The PSI Team raised $3,095 and, with corporate matching, the total amount raised on the Walk for Diabetes was $6,190. Thanks to the following team members who participated:

PSI Awarded $5.4 Million Contract to Support Department of Defense Blood Donor Management System

PSI Sponsors Fisher House Charity Golf Tournament
PSI proudly announces that $7,336 was raised at its charity golf invitational held at Hawk's Landing Golf Club in Orlando, Florida on February 20, 2011. Nearly 100 players came out to enjoy the sunny day and help raise funds for the Fisher House Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides housing near military treatment facilities for the families of seriously ill patients... PSI Wins 2010 eLearning Leadership Award
PSI was presented with the 2010 eLearning Leadership Award for the courseware developed supporting Veterans Affairs' My Recovery Plan®. This award recognizes industry leaders that have demonstrated how the intelligent use of instructional design and technology can produce eLearning titles in the true spirit of complying with both the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974.Three awards were presented; one in each of the following categories: Government, Nonprofit, and Commercial. PSI Aboard the USS Intrepid
PSI's Telehealth Team-including Bart Delphin, Russ Henderson and Krista Hahn- has been asked by the US Air Force to participate in Air Force Week aboard the USS Intrepid in NYC. The event will take place August 25-29, 2010 aboard the historic aircraft carrier turned Sea-Air-Space Museum A PSI booth will be set up as a backdrop for demonstrations of the Team's Virtual Iraq and InWorld Avatar technologies, the mental health treatment methods they use to treat soldiers returning from war with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

PSI Implements Pilot Program to Train Civilian Providers on Military Behavioral Health
A team of PSI specialists recently implemented a valuable pilot program for the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) to train Civilian Providers (read more). The Portal offers training courses to civilian primary care and mental health providers on treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). With PSI's assistance, MHS Learn now delivers these courses through a new front-end portal, complete with continuing medical education certificates. Our team also devised custom reports and a refined Self Registration process.

"This online training offers 17 continuing medical education units to participating providers, in addition to the convenience of taking courses anytime, anywhere," said Army Maj. Gen. Elder Granger, TMA deputy director. "Educating civilian providers about military culture and associated behavioral health issues continues to be one of TRICARE's priorities. Online courses are an additional tool TRICARE offers to make valuable training more accessible."

The pilot program will take place for six (6) months and will be evaluated for the addition of education courses to help treat patients suffering from disorders related to military experiences. The civilian provider portal, which is supported by Oracle Corp. (www.oracle.com), can be accessed at http://www.health.mil/civilianprovidereducation.

Department of Veterans Affairs/Department of Defense Awards PSI Contract to Develop Joint Federal Health Care Center
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)/Department of Defense (DoD) has selected a team headed by PSI to develop the requirements for a joint Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) which will combine the healthcare systems of both agencies into a joint facility. PSI and its team members will perform Information Management/Information Technology and Program Management services in order to provide more cost effective and efficient support for our nation's service members and veterans. The work will be performed onsite at the CAPT James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL.

PSI Wins Contract to Provide Programmer Support Services at the National Endowment of the Arts)
The National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) has selected PSI to provide full programmer services to support existing systems in VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server and Access and new development of custom MS Windows-based executables and Web interfaces. All new and existing systems will support the NEA grant making, budget, and accounting activities. PSI is pleased to announce the successful implementation and training of Defense Medical Resource System-internet (DMHRSi) to the Navy. Nearly all of the 46 MTFs have converted from their legacy system, Standard Personnel Management System (SPMS).
