PSI Wins Computerworld’s 21st Century Achievement Award

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 7, 2011

ARLINGTON, VA - Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), a respected provider of information technology (IT) solutions and services to the federal government, announces that it has won Computerworld’s “21st Century Achievement Award” in the Training/Education category. The 2011 Computerworld Honors Program recognizes visionary organizations that apply IT to promote positive social, economic and educational change around the globe.

In close partnership with the Military Health System Defense Health Services Systems Program Office, PSI’s award recognizes the widespread benefits offered by their MHS Learn project. MHS Learn is a centralized, web-based learning management system initially developed for the MHS and, most recently, supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and training of civilian providers treating wounded warriors for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This specialized IT initiative greatly benefits the military’s medical workforce and veterans worldwide by making consistent and timely training available to more than 170,000 students through over 1,200 online courses, as well as traditional classroom learning, web-based training, webinars and discussion forums. This platform is also at the forefront of major Department of Defense and VA efforts to share technology and resources aimed at promoting efficiencies and improving organizational readiness.
