Planned Systems International Showcases Single Sign-On Technology |

COLUMBIA, MD - Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI) a leading provider of IT solutions and services to the federal government, is pleased to announce a Single Sign-On technology it has developed for Active Duty Service Members, giving them immediate access to the Army Knowledge On-Line and Air Force Global Combat Support Systems.
Previously, Service Members wanting to view healthcare information or schedule appointments would be required to sign on to their respective Service portal and then sign on to the TRICARE On-Line website. Now, with the new TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) On-Line Single Sign-On solution, Service Members can click on the TRICARE On-Line Service portal link and be given immediate access to their Service portal.
This new technology was established using an innovative "federated identity" solution that established a trust relationship between Service portals and TRICARE On-Line. It uses Department of Defense-compliant security procedures (Common Access Card or User Name/Password), reduces user sign-on requirements, improves system security, and reduces system maintenance costs.
In the future, TMA will be integrating other TMA and Service systems into its Single Sign-On solution.
