Project Overview
The Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA) supports a $120M Modernization Program and a $750M Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) investment program. In addition, it analyzes the $3.2B Military Health System (MHS) IM/IT investment portfolio regarding impact on Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) programs and capabilities. This contract provides the Air Force Medical Services and the Air Force Surgeon General a comprehensive vehicle to acquire a variety of Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) services in support of Air Force medical applications.

PSI Services & Results
PSI functions as The Master Integrator for this contract with sole responsibility for the management of numerous Call Orders totaling over $100M. PSI’s services include the following:

• Statistical Analysis and Data Quality Assurance – PSI conducted analysis of the Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) identifying workload recording and allocation shortfalls that helped AFMS more efficiently manage their resources. For CHCS, PSI’s statistical analyses identified a $4M impact to the revenue units within a hospital setting.
• Information Assurance – PSI is conducting certification and accreditation for Air Force health applications, including certification and accreditation for over 74 major medical applications used worldwide.
• Full Lifecycle Support — PSI provides assistance across the system development lifecycle of major applications, including requirements gathering, preliminary and final design, system development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
• Enterprise Architecture Policy Research and Standards Management – PSI supports policy research and standards management. We also complete architecture operational views to support justification of new applications within the Defense Business Transformation program.
• Business Process Planning and Analysis – PSI supports the development of strategic, business, and execution plans plus requirements analysis costing in support of the enterprise-wide operating strategy.
• Database Support – PSI provides support for key AF application databases including: Vecna Patient Kiosk Patient Demographic Data, COHORT (Data Mart), Integrated Clinical Database (ICDB), and Advanced Diagnostic Systems.
