Project Overview
The primary function of the Medical Information Systems (MIS) Division is to execute Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) policies developed by the Military Health System (DOD (HA)), the Air Force Chief Information Officer, the Air Force Surgeon General (AF/SG), the Air Force Medical Modernization Directorate, and the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) Office.

PSI Services
Support ongoing strategic planning efforts using the balanced scorecard (BSC) methodology to articulate future AFMS IM/IT planning efforts.

• Prepare executive summaries and conduct briefings to Air Force deputy surgeon generals in support of the Information Management Proponent Committee (IMPC).
• Provide project management support and systems analysis and design support for Tri-Care Online (TOL).
• Provide subject matter expertise for AHLTA, a $4.3B medical information system. Collaborate with government agencies and civilian contractors in program lifecycle development, deployment, software development, and business practice optimization of AHLTA.
• Provide advisory support on IM/IT systems analyses; supplement, complement, and evaluate ongoing and emerging program management, development, administration requirements within the O&S Branch.
• Provide Liaison functions with the Air Force Pentagon Communication Agency on behalf of the AF/SG on issues relating to network and network security problems, technology refresh, telecommunication devices, asset management, and desktop technical support services.
