Walter Reed Army Medical Center
WRAMC TPOCS Support
Project Overview
The mission of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) is to develop leadership in clinical readiness for combat and contingency missions; to exploit advances in wellness, prevention and disease outcomes management for maximum quality of life and health; and to serve as the national leader in outcomes-focused integration of primary and specialty care. WRAMC partners with other Services and agencies to promote excellence in military healthcare with prudent stewardship of resources. The Third Party Outpatient Collection System (TPOCS) is one such example of how this mission is carried out.TPOCS enables Army, Navy, and Air Force Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) to use available technology for tracking, collecting and reporting data required to bill other health insurances for healthcare services. The system provides an effective mechanism to MTFs for identifying, recording, billing, and collecting reasonable costs for outpatient care.
