VA Testing Service Support Services
Project Overview

PSI provides support services to the VA Testing Service in the areas of Capacity Planning Analysis; Independent Validation and Verification; Infrastructure, Engineering and Operations; Expansion Services Initiative; and Program Management.

The VA Testing Service is a branch of the Software Engineering Office which falls under the VA OI&T/OED. Testing Service is responsible for promoting standardization; improvement of released software quality; conducting planned and controlled evaluation, testing, and reporting of test results as well as documenting and promulgating testing policies and procedures.

PSI Services & Results

The focus of the contract is to provide innovative and cost-effective support services to ensure that all tested HealtheVet (HeV) and Legacy VistA systems meet or exceed all acceptance criteria and requirements and perform as efficiently as possible in production.

Capacity Planning Analysis Support – Identify and implement of state-of-the-art tools and methodologies to facilitate the capture of metrics and performance data as VistA is migrated to the new HeV environment and other future related technologies. Assess systems and applications scalability and performance.

Independent Validation and Verification Support – Perform requirements analysis, develop test plans, test cases and test scripts, execute tests, analysis of results, report results. Perform both feature/function testing and performance testing as well as integration of the application under test into the HeV environment and architecture.

Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations (IEO) Support – Maintain test environments for Stage 1 - Product Testing and Stage 2 – TS Testing activities. Provide ongoing support for development projects that need controlled test environments for evaluating software products and emerging technologies for Stage 1 Testing.

Services Expansion Initiative (SEI) Support - Provide advice and engineering support for the justification, procurement, design and build-out of the infrastructure, services, and physical facility.
