Mr. Andy Acuna is Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), a certified enterprise IT solutions provider specializing in Federal Health IT. As CIO, Mr. Acuna leads and oversees the vision, strategy, and operation of the company’s Technology Management Department, where PSI is a leader in providing enterprise technology and cyber solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence for our customers. Mr. Acuna began his career at the Scientific Visualization Studio at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where he taught himself HTML and scripting languages to support scientific project teams requiring websites when the internet was in its infancy. After leaving Goddard, Mr. Acuna worked as a consultant supporting application development across commercial organizations and government entities such as Digex, Bell Atlantic, the U.S. Postal Service, and Rydex Funds.

After starting at PSI as a developer in 2002, Mr. Acuna expanded his technical background into multiple areas including systems administration, cloud platform management, project management, employee outreach and training, and IT procurement. He is currently a Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert, a Microsoft 365 Certified Teams Administrator Associate, and a Microsoft Service Adoption Specialist.

Mr. Acuna has been a key asset in the growth and development of PSI’s technical capabilities and internal IT support team and has continually advocated for and encouraged the early adoption of technologies to ensure PSI is a leader in delivering cutting edge tools to support a highly capable and technically superior workforce.

When he’s not at work? Mr. Acuna enjoys spending time with his family and taking trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina or Ocean Pines in Maryland. When time allows, he also pursues photography, kayaking, cooking on his Big Green Egg, and other nerdy endeavors such as fossiling for shark teeth along the Potomac River.
