PSI Innovation Lab

Valparaiso, Florida will soon be home to the PSI Innovation Lab, a state-of-the-art facility created to support our customer base in the region. The facility will equip us for the future and allow us to expand our offerings in the areas of agile software development, digital engineering, cloud services, and rapid prototyping.

PSI’s Innovation Lab was born from our proposal to support our current customer the 492d Special Operations Advanced Capabilities Squadron (SOACS0 who serves the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) through our Command and Control Mission Systems (C2MS) contract. PSI’s strategy to expand business in the Florida panhandle is based on three related technical capabilities which are timely and reflect a critical need for DoD. The Lab’s capabilities will support the regional customers within a 100-mile radius of the PSI facility. There are the following 6 military installations: Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field, Pensacola Naval Air Station, Whiting Field Naval Air Station, Tyndall AFB, and 7th Special Forces Group. Within a 350-mile radius we have 6 additional military installations: Warner Robbins AFB, GA, Keesler AFB, MS, Ft Rucker, AL, Ft Benning, GA, Maxwell AFB, AL and the US Army acquisition center at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Core functions represented in on these installations are: Air Force and Army Special operations, Air Force aerial weapons development, acquisition and sustainment, Air Force Electronic Warfare and aerial weapons development and operational test organizations, Air Force bomb and missile test ranges, Air Force Life Cycle Management center for C-130’s and Electronic Warfare capabilities, US Army rocket, missile, and Space acquisition and life cycle management center, North American Aerospace Defense Combined Air Operations Center, and Air Force Combined Air Operations Center training center, as well as several Joint Pilot and Combat Systems Operator flight training centers.

Given this variety of requirements from a broad and diverse customer base, PSI is developing the capacity and capability to provide each customer: agile software development, digital engineering services and open architecture standards compliance. This Innovation Lab sets the path for opportunities to expand both are lines of business and customer base with all the surrounding military installations and with any DoD contractor that supports them.
