MDA Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) IDIQ 

Overview

The SHIELD (Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense) is a award contract vehicle managed by the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Established to support the "Golden Dome" initiative, it serves as the primary acquisition framework for developing a multi-layered homeland missile defense architecture. 

The scope of the IDIQ is exceptionally broad, covering 19 distinct work areas that span the entire lifecycle of defense systems. This includes high-level research and development, prototyping, disruptive technologies, systems engineering, and long-term operations and sustainment.
